The Senior Director, Digital Health & Innovation will report into the VP of Digital Health & Innovation and will be accountable in the delivery of critical insight, implications, and definition of Digital growth opportunity areas.
This is a high impact role, and you’ll be working closely with external start-ups (VCs, incubators), partners (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Accenture) and internally with senior stakeholders to determine how GSK can capitalize on prioritized digital opportunity areas.

- Lead the delivery of critical insight, implications for GSK and defining value opportunities working directly with senior/executive GSK leaders and the external ecosystem of VC/Start up’s, advisories, and academics with a focus on digital health innovative technology platforms, data, analytics and digital products
- Conduct in-depth landscape analyses in Macro and Micro trends and potential disruption to GSK. Participating in industry, VC, academic and technical conferences to promote GSK as the partner of the choice. Align search priorities to reflect prioritized business priorities and technology strategies/roadmaps
- Brings, establishes, and cultivates a broad network of internal and external partners with digital, data and analytics technology expertise including academia, venture capital firms and biotech industry globally and maintains a high level of external visibility.
- Working closely with the business, framing problem statements and the associated business value, and draw on a deep understanding of the key trends shaping biopharmaceutical, research and commercialization.
- Advancing the development of new and ongoing strategic partnerships, including scouting for and evaluating potential partners (e.g. technology start-ups), developing relationships in the digital health ecosystem
- Produce high-quality written presentations/discussion materials (e.g. landscape assessment, consumer journey mapping, business case development) in support of the responsibilities defined above
- Building a strong network within GSK and working closely with business and Tech teams to ensure an in-depth understanding of GSK business needs and priorities.
Basic Qualifications
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree (medicine, science, business, technology)
- Direct experience in start-up or launching digital products into the healthcare market
- Direct experience in investment proposal or business case writing
