Senior Developer

Description:

We are undertaking the development of an internal application to support our build and deployment orchestration. The application is built using Node.js, React, Typescript and DocumentDB and is hosted on AWS (currently on ECS but transitioning to EKS).

At present the internal developer base is immature and we are looking for an experienced resource to both work on the ongoing development of application and also to mentor and train our existing resources.

The candidate will be expected to be aware of modern development tooling and standards, and source control using git. They will also be responsible for leading and setting/implementing technical standards for the application, and liaising with other teams such as testing, UX design and stakeholders.

Mentoring and training the existing developer base in the development technologies in use is also important part of the role and the successful candidate will have a proven track record in this area.

Technical Skills required

Significant experience in:

• JavaScript
• Nodejs
• React
• Typescript
• Experience in MongoDB/DocumentDB

Knowledge and Experience required:

• Demonstrable experience of development in the above technologies
• Demonstrable experience of coaching and developing people
• Demonstrable experience of pair programming
• Experience of creating technical documentation
