About the job Role: Senior Data Platform Engineer Location: Remote (London) Harmonic is delighted to partner with a global sustainability consultancy business, working with huge organisations across the global on greenhouse gas accounting. They inspire their customers to create value from sustainability-related activities through their solutions. They have offices around the globe, but the data team mostly work from the London office although in a remote first approach. Job Responsibilities: Develop scalable data pipelines to support analysis by data analysts and BI Developers Manage the Google Cloud Platform, using Airflow, BigQuery, PySpark and infrastructure as a code Design document and build the organisational data infrastructure, contributing to the overall data management and governance policies Organise and analyse raw data from core enterprise systems (Salesforce, HR, ERP etc), meta data from unstructured data sources and external data sources (carbon registries, emission factors etc) Explore and implement strategies to enhance data quality and reliability Skills and experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field Proven experience working with cloud infrastructure Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Proficiency in working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data Familiarity with data governance and management principles Strong communication and collaboration skills
