Senior Data Analyst

Description:

A leading multi-national Investment Management firm, managing over £500 Billion AUM, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join a newly formed team. This strategic role supports a company-wide growth initiative through acquisitions and expanded service offerings across asset classes such as fixed income, liability-driven investment, interest rates, and multi-assets.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in uncovering client insights, enhancing data reporting, and enabling better decision-making across departments — from Trading and Clearing to Investment and Asset Management. Your work will directly contribute to cross- and up-selling strategies and the board's strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI, SQL, and other analytics tools.

• Analyze disparate financial and client datasets to identify trends, insights, and sales opportunities.

• Support decision-making processes by delivering clear and impactful visualizations and KPIs.

• Work with stakeholders across Front, Middle, and Back Office to unify and streamline data pipelines.

• Assist in the design and implementation of ETL processes and data models for self-service BI functionality.

• Collaborate with technology teams on data governance, storage, and modeling solutions.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• Expertise in SQL – advanced querying and analysis.

• Strong Power BI skills for visualizations and reporting.

• Experience with ETL processes/pipelines and Databricks.

• Basic proficiency or exposure to Python is a plus.

• Background in financial data analysis, especially with external clients.

• Proven experience in data modeling and self-service analytics delivery.

• Excellent communication skills to bridge business and technical teams.

• High attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and integrity.

Contract Details:

💸 Day Rate: £700–750/day (Inside IR35)
📆 Duration: 6 months rolling contract
📍 Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite in Central London)
