Description:
Mott MacDonald, a global engineering, management, and development consultancy, is seeking a Senior Coastal Engineer to join our Ports, Coastal, and Offshore (PCO) team. This role focuses on delivering cutting-edge coastal infrastructure solutions across UK and international projects.
✅ Lead specialist and multi-disciplinary teams across project life cycles
✅ Conduct feasibility studies, hydrodynamic assessments, and metocean investigations
✅ Manage contract procurement, including tender documents, BOQs, and specifications
✅ Ensure quality assurance and risk management throughout projects
✅ Support business development initiatives and tender submissions for growth
✅ Liaise with stakeholders, both internal and external, to drive project success
✅ Oversee coastal zone management, offshore renewables, tidal power, and erosion control projects
✅ Participate in overseas assignments when required
✔ Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
✔ Chartered Engineer status (ICE, IStructE, CIWEM, or equivalent)
✔ Proven experience in coastal engineering and infrastructure projects
✔ Business development experience, including client liaison and bid preparation
✔ Familiarity with digital engineering techniques and innovative project delivery methods
✔ Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations
✔ Understanding of contract types and procurement processes
