Description:
The UK office is now recruiting for a Senior Business Development Advisor to work in the Core Business Development Team for Business Unit 2 (one of three Business Units within the Division).
Responsibilities
Management: Proactively support with managing the personnel development of the BU-2 staff working on BD, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure team members have clear objectives and are motivated to perform effectively. Provide advice and guidance to staff at all levels across the company ensuring that they use BD best practices and submit compliant and winning bids.
Positioning / Bidding: Participates in bid preparation and positioning as required. Performs Bid Manager and Commercial Leads roles but also contributes to bid teams, ensuring compliance with NIRAS business development processes for positioning, bid delivery and post-bid learning, including capturing and disseminating lessons learned from across BU-2 offices and supporting in suggesting learning/sharing knowledge on specific BD processes at the company-wide meetings. Provide organisational, administrative and technical inputs to bids such as developing positioning plans and bid schedules, develops compliance checklists, proposal structures, context analysis, bid outlines, CV’s, pen portraits, project experience / track record, work plans and budgets. Lead on the production of bid decision documents and EOIs, ensuring tenders are presented attractively. Engages with NIRAS’ offices across group to ensure NIRAS accesses the best available human resources and project track record to produce winning tenders. Supports other Bid Managers responsible for matters of technical content, quality assurance, reputational, contractual, and commercial risk – ensuring compliance, quality, and timely delivery of all bid inputs.
