Senior Account Manager

 

Description:

Our Senior Account Managers are super-organised and adept multi-taskers. Accountable for end- to-end project delivery and responsible for delivering projects on time, on specification and on budget. Our SAM possess strong project and client management skills and best-practice methodology and is the key point person for projects and relaying timing, scope, budget, resource and change information to the wider project and production teams.

You have strong problem-solving skills, are well organised with a passion for production, marketing and advertising and a desire to grow and develop.

Key areas of responsibility

Communication
 

  • The key day-to-day client management contact for clients
  • Understanding of clients’ needs to deliver high satisfaction levels and share feedback with wider team and escalate any delivery concerns to AD/SAD
  • Accountable for ensuring all team members are aware of timelines and deliverables
  • Responsible for managing the client relationship with a focus on delivery
  • Act as the primary client contact for delivery, structure regular status updates and communications with clients, define scope and approach, set and manage expectations and deliverables and troubleshoot issues as they arise, and if required escalate to AD/SAD
  • Work with client brands and agencies to ensure a clear understanding of the production brief, deliverables and timeline for each project and relay those details to other members of the team as necessary
  • Liaising with clients on developments and outcomes, ensuring the integration of client feedback and providing regular status updates to maintain clarity of information and ensure successful delivery of project
  • Preparing clear briefs/updates for production teams
  • Taking responsibility for ongoing communications with Project Managers and Producers, tracking project progress and status vs. schedules and timings
     

Collaboration
 

  • Partner with Client Growth, Production and Finance to ensure a smooth process, proper resource allocation and a superior result
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with internal agency teams and key external partners to ensure quality and adherence to production guidelines for key deliverables
  • Co ordinating between all relevant parties, including internal (Print, Broadcast, Digital) and external (clients and agencies)
     

Process
 

  • Lead production of medium to large integrated campaigns including TV, Print, Digital, and Social Media from brief to delivery, ensuring final materials are on time, on budget and of the highest quality
  • Manage the workflow timelines and ensure all deadlines for clients are met
  • Work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Manage client objectives, budget, expectations, deliverables and timelines and communicate changes/direction to team members
  • Keep projects on track through clear task lists, timing schedules, risk register, trackers, status and contact reports
  • Participate actively and can knowledgeably articulate status internally and during client interactions
  • Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans and if needed, escalate to AD/SAD
  • Liaise with clients/agencies/suppliers to obtain schedules, briefs, assets, technical specifications
  • Ensure the highest quality is always delivered to clients
  • Monitoring internal workflows, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations
     

Financials
 

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for projects
  • Own project budget and tracking of all ongoing costs throughout project lifecycle, reconcile estimates to actuals on all projects, and resolution of budget discrepancies between disciplines, vendors and clients
  • Manage POs, financial reporting, tracking, billing against all project budgets
     

Requirements
 

  • Project or Client management related experience within a production agency and/or a creative agency, with a good understanding of creative and production processes across all key channels, including digital, video, content, social etc.
  • Understanding of production (including stills and video shootings), post-production and creative development process.
  • Ability to manage medium to large projects with varying components, demonstrating ability to deliver on time and on budget
  • Experience of building client relationships
  • A professional, calm, approachable demeanour, and the ability to thrive in the dynamic highly matrixed agency environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring flawless execution and delivery
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
