Description:
· An in-depth knowledge and passion for the media old and new, strong analytical skills to master issues quickly, as demonstrated by a strong academic track record.
· Impressive writing skills, the ability to work in a team under pressure to tight deadlines, and the energy, flexibility, and tenacity to take on responsibilities.
· The interpersonal skills to work well as part of our team, win the confidence of clients, and to pitch effectively to journalists.
· The emotional intelligence to navigate the political sensitivities inherent in large corporate and governmental clients.
· The successful candidate will also, on occasion, need to attend meetings and team-working sessions in London.
· Ability to work in another language, particularly European languages, will be an advantage, though is not essential.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct desk-based secondary research.
· Deliver in-depth media analysis and manage media intelligence databases
· Draft written material intended to persuade and/or represent a client’s point of view (i.e. press releases, statements, bylines, research analysis, white papers, newsletters, etc.)
· Pitch media (develop, pitch and contact media)
· Manage day-to-day account activities, including owning deadlines and ensuring those junior and senior to you are delivering their inputs
· Contribute to our business development process
· Monitor and summarise (package and present) a variety of news and communication formats (traditional media, blogs, online outlets, etc.)
· Some out-of-hours and weekend work will be required to oversee events and deal with urgent media requests, including the scheduling of interviews.
