Rigby Hall School is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants (Grade 3) to join our growing team. As a special school for all age groups, we are committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for our students with special educational needs (SEN).

Role Overview

The successful candidates will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Provide individual and group support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
✔ Assist in delivering structured lesson plans and activities.
✔ Support students' emotional and social development in and outside the classroom.
✔ Help manage challenging behaviors and promote positive learning experiences.
✔ Work collaboratively with teachers and multi-disciplinary teams.
✔ Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is preferred.
✔ Ability to adapt to students’ individual learning needs.
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
✔ Ability to remain calm and patient in a dynamic classroom environment.
✔ A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable.

Working Hours & Benefits

Working Hours: 33 hours 45 minutes per week
📅 Term Time Only + 5 TED Days
🕘 Schedule:

  • Monday-Wednesday & Friday: 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Thursday: 8:45 AM – 4:30 PM
  • One extended day: 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
