We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, skillful laboratory-based Scientist to join our core Antibody Discovery Group, undertaking NGS library construction, sequencing, and analysis of project samples.

The Sanofi UK Antibody Discovery Group is part of Sanofi’s Large Molecule Research. We are a core pipeline team, responsible for the high-throughput and improvement of the single cell antibody discovery pipeline. It is a key step to drive the progression of projects towards the discovery of lead candidates to be selected for development. The opened position would be to complete our Sequence Recovery Team, with the main focus on NGS library generation and sequencing workflows. You will be involved in projects from across the whole antibody discovery platform. You will be working in close contact with the other teams of the Antibody Discovery Group and collaborate with different groups in- and out- side Sanofi Large Molecule Research department following the projects throughout the full discovery process.

Main responsibilities:
 

  • Routine single-cell library preparation and other relevant techniques
  • Preparation and ordering of reagents
  • Maintenance of reagent inventories and other records
  • Maintain accurate, high quality and up-to-date records of all experiments
  • Assist in technology development and improvements
  • Data analysis of large data sets using established bioinformatic pipelines
  • Effective organisation of daily tasks
  • Co-ordinate work with other members of the Antibody Discovery Group and other teams as required
  • Summarise and present results in internal meetings
     

About You

Qualifications/ Education & work experience
 

  • PhD’s or Master’s Degree with relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting in molecular biology or related discipline
  • Good working knowledge of molecular biology (both principles and techniques) and the ability to apply this knowledge
  • Experience in NGS workflow and library preparation
  • Good attention to details and ability to multi-task
  • Team player
  • Strong motivation, excellent communication, and organization skills
  • Strong interest in data analysis using diverse bioinformatic tools
  • Ability to carry out troubleshooting and QC work
