School Business And Finance Officer

Capita Entrust is seeking an experienced School Business and Finance Officer to join our team in Staffordshire. This hybrid role involves both onsite support in schools and Multi Academy Trusts and remote work from home, ensuring that schools receive expert financial guidance and operational support.

As part of this role, you will be assisting with budget monitoring, financial reporting, and quarterly returns, working closely with educational institutions to help them operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within Entrust and Staffordshire County Council.
• Deliver financial services to schools, academies, local authorities, and other clients.
• Assist in developing and delivering training for small groups or one-to-one sessions.
• Provide clear and professional communication to clients through various channels.
• Maintain risk management best practices and comply with relevant operating procedures.
• Build strong professional relationships with customers and colleagues to support business growth.
• Promote high standards of operational excellence within the team.

Candidate Requirements:

✔️ Proven experience in school finance with a strong understanding of budgeting and reporting.
✔️ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
✔️ IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office.
✔️ Access to own transport, as travel across Staffordshire is required (fully expensed).
✔️ Positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
