thyssenkrupp Materials UK is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive sales activities, retention, and growth strategies while leading a dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Account Management, this role will be responsible for formulating and executing sales plans, ensuring business profitability, and fostering a high-performance sales culture. The role requires a strong leader who can inspire and develop their team while coordinating sales strategies across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a sales team to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Establish and execute sales budgets and strategies.
- Provide accurate forecasting and ensure contract deliverables are met.
- Promote digitalization and automation strategies to enhance efficiencies.
- Drive a customer-centric approach, ensuring long-term relationships and business expansion.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of materials as a service, incorporating it into the sales team’s approach.
- Maintain knowledge of aerospace, defence, and metals industry products and their applications.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration within the company.
- Encourage innovation and new ideas within the sales team.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in aerospace, defence, or metals industry sales is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in sales and negotiation.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications and SAP.
- Highly motivated with a strong attention to detail.
