Description:

Version 1, a leading technology consultancy with over 26 years of success, is seeking a seasoned and ambitious Sales Director to lead its Financial Services division. This is a strategic leadership role for a highly motivated sales professional with the drive and capability to double the existing financial services business in alignment with the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive double-digit annual growth in an already established 8-figure financial services revenue stream.

  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team focused on existing client growth and new business development across Banking, Insurance, and Capital Markets in the UK, Ireland, and US.

  • Sales Strategy: Shape and execute a multi-year, global sales strategy that ensures consistent revenue growth and enhanced market presence.

  • Key Deal Oversight: Serve as executive sponsor for high-value deals, oversee contract negotiations, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with the Office of the CTO, marketing, and pre-sales teams to introduce new capabilities and proactive solutions to clients.

  • Sales Operations Excellence: Implement best-in-class sales operations, CRM discipline, and deal governance with accurate forecasting and data integrity.

  • Cross-functional Integration: Work with other business leaders to provide a unified customer experience and identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in managing 8-figure revenue targets and delivering results within a global financial services client base.

  • 15+ years of technology service sales experience, with a blend of individual contribution and leadership roles.

  • Expertise in Software Engineering, Cloud & Data Transformation, Digital Services, and Managed Services.

  • Experience with private equity-backed businesses is a plus.

  • Strong domain knowledge in Banking, Insurance, and Capital Markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing sales teams.

  • Strong commercial acumen with advanced verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of off-shore/near-shore delivery models and partner-based sales strategies.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and CIO priorities in the financial services sector.
