As the Sales Director for the UK & Ireland, you will lead the development and execution of the commercial strategy, driving sales growth, increasing market share, and overseeing a team of Sales and Commercial Managers. The business focuses on technical specification-driven products designed to simplify complex infrastructure projects. Key brands within this division include Cubis Systems, NAL, and Filoform, providing smart, safe, and sustainable solutions for the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Sales function for the UK & Ireland, including driving the commercial strategy and achieving sales targets, market share, and margins.
- Lead a team of Sales and Commercial Managers, creating a culture of growth and readiness for the business.
- Align the team with business objectives and implement the IPE strategy within the UK & Ireland.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring sales and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Foster innovation within the business to provide efficient, simple, and reliable products for customers.
- Manage travel within the UK & Ireland (2-3 days per week) with occasional international travel.
What We Look For
- Experience: 5+ years of Senior Commercial/Sales experience in a global building materials or manufacturing business.
- Sales Leadership: Proven track record of driving aggressive growth strategies and achieving ambitious sales targets.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in technical specification-driven sales within the building products sector.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead commercial teams and manage customer relationships, pricing, and negotiations. Strong communication skills with the flexibility to liaise across all levels of the business.
- Strategic Mindset: Pragmatic and result-driven with attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategic and operational tasks.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel within the UK & Ireland, with international travel required quarterly.
- Team Player: Positive, open-minded, and able to collaborate across a global organization.
