-THE ROLE;
- As Head of Sales, Sales Director, you'll be coaching, mentoring, supporting and guiding your mixed team of Specification executives and Business Development Managers, who will be promoting the company's manufactured range of drainage products found in a multitude of applications.
- Working in partnership with the MD, you'll look to create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and increases market share.
- As Sales Director, Head of Sales, you'll support your field sales team of 10, in growing the project specifications sales pipeline, through coaching and developing their skills, to improve their specification conversions with the influencers and customer base of architects, consulting engineers, specifiers, major contractors, public health engineers, food and beverage manufacturers and specialist sub contractors.
- Covering the UK, once trained on the products and systems, you'll support each sales person on day accompaniments, building relationships with their customers, to understand their specification and purchasing requirements for the company's range of drainage systems that are used in applications across the internal and external built environment.
- The products that you and your sales team will be promoting include drainage channels and gully systems, roof drainage systems, access covers, grease management systems, shower channels, shower drainage, stainless steel floor gullies, car park gullies etc.
- As Head of Sales, Sales Director, you'll be supporting your team in gaining specifications on a variety of projects, such as hospitals, residential care homes, prisons, schools, libraries, commercial office blocks, food and drink manufacturing, commercial kitchens, wet-rooms and showers, brewers etc. The potential across the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors for these interior and exterior drainage solutions is huge.
- In this role you will also identify strategic marketing needs and build brand and product campaigns with your Marketing business partner and brand development director.
- You will coach your team to increase their technical and sales skills of your 10 sales professionals and guide them on increasing their closing of specifications with the contractor.
- You will also manage price and margin expectations whilst aiming to gain market share. You'll also set and review goals with your team, as well as identify skills gaps and training needs and develop and implement plans to address these.

- Ideally you'll have significant experience and understanding of working in a project/specification led construction products sales environment.
- You will have a proven ability in building, developing and leading a successful, high performing sales team.
- Being a National role, you can be based anywhere with good access to the motorway and rail networks.
