Sales Development Manager

Description:

Supporting the development of new Smart Solutions Sales contracts across business customers and targeted commercial entities which include SMEs, Corporate organisations, Landowners and Local Authorities, you will work towards ScottishPower’s targets in line with the strategic, financial, and external requirements. You will identify, initiate, develop and manage a network of contacts and partners to facilitate the successful growth of commercial Smart Solutions products.

Managing the onboarding of new customers, you will lead a team of Business Development Managers to support ongoing growth of Commercial Solar, Heat and EV products which include public charging infrastructure and fleet charging solutions.

What you’ll bring

Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerate or business-related subject, although candidates with relevant industry experience and knowledge will be considered, you will possess strong leadership/operational management experiences which are required to lead a team of Business Development Managers.

Being highly numerate and analytical with the ability to understand financial models, forecasts and budget management, you will be a commercially strong Manager with focus on growth and margin optimisation and be able to devise and execute effective sales strategies.

Sales focused, you will possess a strong understanding of the value of service and customer engagement, a track record of building effective sales pipelines from prospect to contract including an in depth understanding of Outsourced Sales Partners or Contractor Management consisting of Partnerships, external Call Centre Operations and Outsourced Sales Partners & Contractors.

Utilising your strong influencing and stakeholder management ability which includes a high level of verbal communication and tact to influence, persuade and negotiate with Senior Leaders, you will possess previous knowledge and work experience from within the energy and/or decarbonisation industry.
