The is a senior role within Raisr's Financial Operations function, with this individual responsible for supporting Railsr’s governance and oversight of Client Asset and Safeguarding activities internally and externally via intermediaries and other partners.

The successful candidate will have experience in both Accounting and Banking, and will report directly to our CFO. This is a hybrid role based out of our London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the operational effectiveness of the firm’s systems and controls that are designed to achieve compliance with the firm’s regulatory safeguarding requirements.
  • Creating functional business requirements for enhancements to existing financial, regulatory and operational systems.
  • Review and approval of the daily client asset calculation and reconciliations.
  • Report Develop, coordinate and maintain the client asset management plan (CAMP).
  • Maintain a strong understanding of existing regulations, of upcoming developments and best practice covering client asset regulation.
  • Responsible to be the subject matter expert on client asset regulations to advise management on new business or products.
  • Planning, coordinating and managing audits and the annual client asset and safeguarding examination.
  • Assisting with the oversight and governance of respective safeguarding asset compliance across multiple businesses, intermediaries and partners.
  • Taking responsibility for the governance and oversight of Client Asset and Safeguarding protection processes and controls in the assigned businesses and ensuring any exceptions to compliance have been quickly and competently handled during the period.
  • Presenting at and preparing materials for governance meetings such as the Safeguarding Committee and providing challenge where appropriate to ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to.
  • Overseeing and reviewing Client Asset & Safeguarding regulatory reporting to ensure accurate and timely execution.
  • Lead and manage key BAU activity covering the Resolution pack, Client asset risk assessment process and other similar initiatives.
  • Supporting the development of team members by sharing technical knowledge and critiquing deliverables
  • Governance and oversight of outsourcing relationships related to Client Assets and Safeguarding.
  • Supporting as required on Client Asset and Safeguarding function projects and initiatives and contributing to strategic objectives.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience in product program governance and risk management framework.
  • Should have Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation).
  • Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Thorough knowledge of payments and accounting systems, collateral reporting systems, and end reporting/warehousing.
  • Broad understanding of classifiable and delinquency managed credit and operational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate financial and risk reporting knowledge as well as experience from the business and/or technical area desired.
  • Project management knowledge and experience working with diverse group of stakeholders to achieve milestones and deadlines and capability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Proven relationship management skills with ability to deepen relationships and build partnerships across the business, executive leadership and key functional support areas like Government Affairs, Communications, Legal, Compliance, Control, and Risk.
  • Good knowledge of Railsr’s products, risk processes and controls with good understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management framework.
