A prominent leader in the commodity markets is seeking a skilled Risk Analyst to become an integral part of their Front Office Risk team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute robust risk analysis to the executive team while building strong relationships with trading desks.

Your interactions with trading desks and fundamental analysis teams will involve actively contributing to discussions, challenging trading strategies, and ensuring independent analysis. Maintaining a detailed understanding of your portfolios and the key profit and loss drivers, you'll prepare comprehensive weekly reports focusing on specific trading positions, analysing risk and reward for the management. Your strong communication skills will be crucial as you craft insightful commentaries for executive team meetings. Collaboration with other support functions to resolve market, operational, and risk-related issues is an integral part of your role.

I am looking for candidates with experience in risk management, valuations, or trading roles within an investment bank or an energy trading firm. You should have a strong understanding of risk calculation methodologies, including VaR, back-testing, portfolio stress testing, and sensitivity analysis. Prior interaction with traders is advantageous, and familiarity with energy commodities such as Power, Gas, Oil, LNG, LPG & Coal is a plus.
