We are looking for a motivated and inspiring Team Leader to support our retail operations in Edinburgh. Job Summary:

As a Retail Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager to maximize sales, fundraising efforts, and community engagement. You will lead a diverse team of staff and volunteers, ensuring smooth store operations while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with Cancer Research UK policies.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Store Operations & Sales Management – Oversee stock management, display, merchandising, and layout to drive sales and fundraising.
✅ Customer & Supporter Service – Provide a welcoming environment, ensuring excellent customer interactions.
✅ Team Leadership – Support, recruit, train, and supervise a team of staff and volunteers, stepping in for the Store Manager when required.
✅ Fundraising & Community Engagement – Promote Cancer Research UK fundraising campaigns (e.g., lottery, local initiatives).
✅ Compliance & Administration – Maintain standards in health & safety, safeguarding, security, HR, and sustainability.
✅ Local Networking – Build relationships within the local community and across Cancer Research UK teams to support fundraising and stock initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Experience leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment
✔ Strong organization, prioritization, and planning skills
✔ Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues, volunteers, and customers
✔ Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic retail setting
✔ Willingness to travel for meetings and training sessions as needed
✔ Eligibility to work in the UK (Cancer Research UK does not offer visa sponsorship)
