Retail Sales Associate

Description:

Barker and Stonehouse, a stylish, family-owned business at the forefront of furniture retailing for over 75 years, is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and service-focused Sales Associate for its Metro Store.

As part of our commercially minded and results-driven team, you will inspire customers, offer expert product knowledge, and drive sales while maintaining our high store standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-depth knowledge of products, features, and benefits to inspire customers.

• Ensure a smooth sales process, including price negotiations, order processing, and delivery arrangements.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations.

• Work towards exceeding individual targets and KPIs.

• Support store operations, including stock checks, assisting with furniture deliveries, and customer collections.

• Maintain high store standards to enhance customer experience.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Retail sales experience (furniture retail is a plus).

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills, dealing with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in-person, over the phone, and via email.

• Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

• Confidence with computers, systems, and figures.

• Flexibility with work schedules, including weekends and bank holidays.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
