Description:
In your first few weeks in this Research Software Advocate role, you can expect to:
- Build and nurture relationships with NHS analysts and academic epidemiologists, understanding their unique needs and challenges
- Organise and participate in community events, workshops, and meet-ups tailored to our specific developer audience
- Actively engage in relevant online forums and social media platforms to maintain a visible presence
- Develop and distribute technical content such as tutorials, blog posts, and webinars, focusing on Python and R to cater to our user base
- Represent the platform at conferences, meet-ups, and industry events, promoting the platform and sharing insights
- Work with a tech stack that includes Python, R, Django, JavaScript, React, Docker, Postgres, SQLite, HTMX
To apply for this Research Software Advocate role you will require proficiency in Python / R Software Development in addition to soft skills including:
- Ability to create and disseminate clear, engaging technical content (tutorials, blog posts, documentation)
- Experience with public speaking and technical evangelism
