Description:
MBN Solutions are partnered with a leading research company who are in a position to add a Quantum Computing Manager who will build a team that will develop technologies to be incorporated into future quantum computer hardware. The technologies will be used to strengthen quantum computing offerings in various fields including, Finance, healthcare, social infrastructure and more.
The Job:
- Surveying new technologies related to the diamond-spin based QC and determining your research plan accordingly
- Collaborating with external academic partners and identifying research problems that will aid fulfilling the QC strategy
- Managing IP and research output generated in the group through patents, publications, technical reports etc
- Managing the research budget including personnel costs
- Identify and fulfil team requirements including hiring new researchers and supporting their development
- Communicating research output, research directions and requirements to various stakeholders and make changes based on feedback
- Collaborate with other internal research teams worldwide, industry stakeholders and government agencies to accelerate research output.
The Person:
- R&D management experience, ideally Postdoc (industrial or academic) in a relevant field such as Quantum Computing hardware technologies
- Experience and knowledge in any of the following: quantum devices/quantum physics/quantum optics/microwave engineering
- Experience in either leading or making a substantial contribution to some research projects in QC or a relevant field
- Proven experience at writing and reviewing papers that have been accepted by journals or conferences in QC or relevant field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
