Remote Optimisation Engineer

 

Description:

Optimised, a purpose-driven and B Corp certified organisation committed to environmental and social impact, is looking to hire a Remote Optimisation Engineer to join its Remote Optimisation Centre (ROC) in Ashby. The role involves working on a rotating 4 x 12-hour shift pattern over an 8-day cycle, providing high-quality technical support remotely to clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for client issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation within service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Conduct remote PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive fault diagnostics through system dial-ins, pre-start checks, time schedule adjustments, and software configuration.

  • Generate service and investigation reports summarising issues, resolutions, and maintenance activity.

  • Carry out basic remote energy investigations using analytical tools (e.g., diagnosing overheating, cooling issues, or passing valves).

  • Support and guide on-site engineers with technical issues through remote fault resolution.

  • Implement operational optimisation measures related to HVAC, lighting, or refrigeration systems using BMS tools like IQ Vision.

  • Maintain accurate administrative records and perform data entry into CAFM systems.

  • Build and nurture relationships with clients and stakeholders through consistent, professional communication.

  • Uphold high ethical standards, drive, and a purpose-driven mindset aligned with Optimised's mission.


Candidate Profile:

  • Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical plant operation.

  • Experience in BMS programming software and building management systems.

  • Familiarity with energy efficiency goals and performance targets.

  • Demonstrated fault-finding skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both digitally and in person.

  • Resilient, proactive, and detail-oriented with high IT literacy.

  • Passion for climate action, sustainability, and social change.

  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced, purpose-led environment.
