HSBC is looking for an experienced Regional Director to join its Corporate Banking (MME), Global Trade Solutions team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team, drive business development, and strengthen relationships in a dynamic international trade environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear vision aligned with Global Trade Solutions and MME objectives.
- Lead and motivate a team of Business Development Directors (BDMs) to originate and transact new business opportunities.
- Act as the senior GTS lead locally, representing the business and agreeing on strategies for expanding trade solutions.
- Establish and strengthen Global Trade relationships, ensuring fair client outcomes.
- Share market insights, introduce new products, and drive the team's ability to identify and capture new opportunities.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities to meet asset growth, sales, and revenue targets.
- Organize and lead thought-provoking events to highlight HSBC’s trade capabilities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- In-depth knowledge of Trade and Receivables Finance/ABL, products, and techniques.
- Familiarity with market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
- Strong business and commercial awareness, including economic and cultural factors.
- Experience in managing teams to achieve ambitious customer and financial targets.
- Understanding of the international trade cycle and associated business processes.
