People Source Consulting are searching for a Senior QA Engineer focused on Data for a Tech Scale Up which are transforming the shipping industry through digitalization. The company are building 30+ software products from the ground up to support the digitalisation of the commercial maritime industry.

This is an AWESOME opportunity to work for a growing Scale Up and build the foundations of a brand new team that will collaborate across the entire business, initially, your role will be to coordinate and help with a hands on approach to testing of extraction of domain specific data from transactional databases into data lakes to power the BI analytics pipelines.

You'll need to have a strong background in testing data driven pipelines and any previous experience with DMS, Glue, PySpark, S3, Parquet, Athena and Quicksight would be beneficial (don't worry, we don't need you to have experience with all of the technologies!)

Your responsibilities:

• Improvements on code, tests, testability and suggest tools and frameworks that would benefit the team
• Embedding the quality and testing mindset within the data pipelines and processes
• Strive for quality to be built
• Follow test pyramid approach in micro services based architecture
• Research, gather and organize tests around data

Previous experience required:

• SQL
• Kafka and high frequency data
• Previous experience as a QA Engineer within a Data team
• Docker experience
• AWS data lakes experience
