You will be part of the Proxy Voting Team and will be responsible for several operations tasks, including instruction entry, query management, account openings, reporting and project management.
Within this role, you will work closely with our Proxy Voting specialist to support and learn from during our busy voting season.
What is proxy voting at AGI? On a yearly basis, companies hold AGM’s and EGM’s to provide shareholders the opportunity to vote on key aspects of their business - from who should be a director, how dividends should be distributed & environmental/social issues to name a few. Within our network of funds, we hold positions in several companies – All of which will have their own yearly meetings and proposals to vote on. It is our duty to ensure we are voting wherever possible, to ensure AGI are contributing for the benefit of our positions. The proxy team work with our ESG team, compliance teams and external parties to ensure a smooth process applies.
The role is based in London. The global Proxy team are in London but connected to a wider group spread over several destinations in Europe. You might also be asked to travel to European destinations.
