Description:
Working to the Prop Stores Supervisor the Prop Stores Assistant will assist with the organisation of the props store. The Post holder will assist in maintaining both studio and backlot dressing props. The Post holder will also assist in overseeing series dressing and action props.
Your duties will include: -
- Assist in the maintenance of the Design Departmental Asset Register and other HSE Registers.
- Deputise for the Prop Stores Supervisor as and when required and assume the responsibilities of the Supervisor on individual tasks as needed.
- Organise and maintain continuity props in storage areas.
- Responsible for sorting props back into stock after filming.
- Assist in co-ordination of prop loans and returns to internal and external suppliers and sources.
- Maintain prop store tools and working areas including food preparation areas.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and monitored.
- Read scripts paying particular reference to any continuity props, filming locations and sets.
- Assist in maintaining all I.T. Props across the production including Desktop Computers, Laptops, Tablets and Mobile Phones.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Prop Stores Supervisor.
Are you the right candidate?
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following;
- Experience working with action/continuity props.
- Experience working with furniture, set dressing and I.T./computerised props.
- Excellent knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Android & Apple OS including server products.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Apple (Pages/Keynote/Sheets), Adobe (Photoshop/Acrobat Reader/XD) and Storage (Dropbox).
- A passion and knowledge of continuing dramas, especially Casualty.
- Experience working with hand & power tools advantageous.
- Possession of a valid and clean driving licence is desirable.
