Role Description
 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of real estate development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement cost-control strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Oversee and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration among architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to achieve project objectives and maintain high performance.
  • Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, providing regular project updates and managing expectations through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Identify project risks and devise mitigation strategies; address issues proactively to ensure project continuity and reduce potential impacts on budget and timeline.
  • Ensure projects adhere to local zoning regulations, safety codes, and quality standards; conduct inspections and quality audits to uphold compliance.
  • Establish, negotiate, and manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring adherence to contract terms, project schedules, and performance standards.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, financial summaries, and project insights for senior management; support executive decision-making with data-driven recommendations.
     

Requirements
 

  • Proven track record in project management within the real estate or construction industry, with specific experience in affordable housing and defect resolution projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, MRICS, or other relevant project management or real estate certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients, addressing their needs and managing expectations effectively, especially on short-term, high-stakes projects.
  • Strong budget management skills with experience handling project budgets, ensuring cost-effective project delivery without compromising on quality.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building regulations, safety codes, and compliance standards in the UK, especially concerning affordable housing.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors, driving accountability and performance on defect work and other project aspects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks quickly to keep projects on track.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing clear, concise project reports, and providing updates to stakeholders and senior management.
