Project Manager

 

Description:


We are seeking an experienced and energetic Project Manager to manage projects in our wind division. We offer you a challenging position in a growing and dynamic company with a unique opportunity to play a central role in its development.

Your Responsibilities

It would be advantageous but not essential if you had previous experience biased towards HV Service, Installation and Commissioning projects, including the application and administration of Electrical Safety Rules. You will also focus on the planning, delivery, and completion of projects in line with Swire Renewable Energy (SRE) project model and corporate governance.

You will be expected to seek and identify possibilities for additional opportunities of work/services whilst developing and improving existing processes and systems.

Key Accountabilities

Tender & Contracting
 

  • Ad hoc participation with tenders in support of the UK Commercial team where necessary.
  • Provide input about available resources to overall project planning and based on requirements of scope of work, in conjunction with SRE Technician Services Division.
  • Advise Operations and Commercial teams of any changes to work scope so variation orders can be executed.
     

Planning
 

  • Register new projects in SRE Systems.
  • Obtain PO for each project in accordance with sales agreement and ensure invoicing arrangements are implemented and managed.
  • Book resources in SRE Systems where necessary.
  • Coordinate with Technician Services to ensure Training& Certificates are up to date and project specific training and certificates are updated on time before and during project execution.
  • Book and organize PPE for technicians for sites.
  • Maintain close coordination with clients and technicians during project delivery whilst utilising the support of internal technical experts in supporting the project.
  • Participation in project team meetings.
     

Execution
 

  • Conduct HSE Walkdowns and Implement any other HSE initiatives as directed.
  • Coordinate manning activities on site, including change of scope.
  • Close interaction with foremen and technicians on site regarding manning.
  • Control of time registrations based on contracts.
  • Control of travel expense reports based on contracts and liaise with SRE Finance and Project Management teams.
  • Manage local purchasing for a designated project using the company PO system.
     

Completion
 

  • Assist in demobilisation of site, coordinate return of tools, PPE, equipment etc.
  • Update Technician Services with any relevant experience gained during project and performance of Technicians on site.
  • Coordinate lessons learned sessions
  • Escalation of information to Regional Operations Manager regarding ongoing project performance
  • Provide input for competence assessment of soft skills of technicians and site managers to project manager during special projects.
