Description:
The postholder will be managing the successful delivery of all aspects of exhibitions and some Museum-wide public facing projects, from brief to closure and evaluation, including responsibility for budgets.
Key areas of responsibility:
- To develop delivery teams for individual projects and to ensure appropriate input of relevant stakeholders, within and outside the Museum.
- To ensure all projects delegated to the team are completed on schedule within budget and to the highest quality. To make appropriate reports.
- To ensure clear project objectives are developed.
- To prepare schedules showing a project’s critical path and key milestones.
- To plan financial estimates and resources required from the Museum’s technical and specialist staff and from external contractors and consultants.
- To identify and manage risk
About you:
- Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience of managing public facing projects, involving multi-disciplined teams.
- Experience of project processes e.g. risk management, issue resolution, budget management
- MS Office suite to at least intermediate level.
- Ability to work effectively with staff across the Museum at all levels and from all disciplines
- Good facilitator and organiser
