Project Manager

This role shall manage the delivery of solar PV owner’s engineer and advisory consultancy projects for clients and ensure they are delivered on time and on budget and to a high level of quality. In general, the role will include delivery of:

• PV Project Due Diligence.
• Feasibility assessment.
• Project development activities.
• Design.
• Project procurement.
• Construction supervision and quality management.

The role will also provide support and mentoring to less experienced staff in the delivery of solar PV project work.

This includes coordination of internal MM, and external resource where needed, deliverable review and acceptance, budget and time adherence, client liaison, and internal reporting on solar PV projects. The role will also involve the preparation of bids for solar PV projects.

The PM is ideally an engineer or other technically educated professional conversant in solar PV technologies and market conditions with knowledge of electrical power systems, such that in this client facing role, the PM is able to guide technical discussions and make recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Managing consultancy assignments including contract management and scope of services.
• Communicating, coordinating and corresponding with clients for all the matters related to the assignments, acting as primary point of contact on behalf of Mott MacDonald
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Lead and provide technical inputs to feasibility studies, FEED, tender preparation and negotiation for Owner’s Engineer projects.
• Lead and provide technical input to commercial agreements and contracts to ensure Project risks are mitigated.
• Lead and provide technical input for OE services during construction (management of contractors, design review, programme monitoring, etc).
• Lead in the preparation of proposals and/or cost estimates for renewable energy projects.
• Manage and hold project budget, delivery and programme responsibility for individual projects ensuring they are delivered on time and budget.
• Ensuring business management systems (BMS) compliance.
• Assisting with professional excellence activities across subject areas.
