When it comes to street lighting, we're the experts. Partnering with Staffordshire County Council for nearly two decades, we're now on a mission to replace 47,000 outdated public lighting installations with energy-efficient LED lanterns, helping the council achieve its net-zero goals.
Right now, we’re looking to recruit a Project Delivery Engineer to take the lead in delivering our asset renewal programme, meeting time, cost, quality and safety targets.
Key responsibilities include
- Continuously monitor program progress and adapt as needed to meet business objectives.
- Oversee staff performance for efficient project execution.
- Audit and enhance health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Conduct quality audits for ongoing and completed schemes.
- Proactively manage client needs and address any issues.
- Attend briefings, participate in feedback processes, and communicate changes.
- Provide management information to senior stakeholders.
- Take ownership of and resolve process-related complaints.
- Prioritise safety and seek innovative approaches for zero accidents.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Improve contract management processes.
- Meet client service and guarantees of service requirements.
- Foster excellent client relationships to ensure clear understanding and effective management.
What we need from you
- Working knowledge of street lighting contracts.
- An appropriate electrical qualification (e.g., ONC or equivalent).
- Extensive project management experience.
- Strong negotiation skills with a solid grasp of commercial implications.
- Effective interpersonal and influencing abilities for efficient program delivery.
- Skilled in contract management for productive relationships.
- Numerical and analytical competence with strong data interpretation and clear reporting.
- Broad understanding of the distribution system, relevant legislation, and safety rules.
- Full driving licence.
