Description:
The Production Manager has a creative and commercial skillset, they are fully responsible for bringing films to life through interactivity, innovative prop elements and unconventional fun moments throughout every event.
They will be creative but also pragmatic, with the ability to bring ideas to execution and manage budgets accordingly. Their experience in film, events, set design and graphics will mean that they have preferred suppliers, contacts and industry connections so they can be proactive and productive.
They will also have the responsibility to deputise for the Operations Manager when required, with the ability to lead teams and make key operational decisions.
EXPECTED JOB DUTIES
Creative Strategy
● Work alongside Taste Film Director & marketing/ PR team to ensure that everyone is aligned on the create storyline & vision for the aesthetics of each event.
● Initiate and make decisions on all creative production elements at every event with a creative flair which is in line with the brand values.
● Contribute production elements to the event blueprint for each Taste Film film experience.
● Input into menu creation during each film's tasting to ensure each creative/ interactive element is captured. Planning and Organisation
● Ability to plan a production schedule and deliver the relevant props within the given timelines.
● Ensure the hosts & venue are clear on the placement and execution of each immersive and interactive aspect for continuity and quality purposes.
● Lead & manage any direct reports, ensuring that they are all clear on the objective & expectations of their roles, providing support & guidance where required.
● Manage the inventory for production supplies ensuring stock levels are replenished & any future pipeline issues are addressed where relevant.
● Ability to work along Operations Manager to align on production budget, create individual production budgets for each film, by not compromising on quality and creativity.
● Responsible for the end to end budget management of all production props, including all invoice reconciliation.
● Management of risk assessments with regular monitoring in relation to production and props.
● Ensure all Taste Film props for both new & existing are catalogued and clearly stored away.
● Storage management at host venues, office and storage facility. External Partnerships
● Manage relationships with prop suppliers whilst keeping quality and cost at the forefront
● Work alongside any 3rd parties and their teams to deliver the required Taste Film creative concepts & immersive experiences.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & INTERESTS
Essential
● Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in visual arts.
● 3-5+ years experience in events, production and/or hospitality at management level.
● Strong creativity with an eye for detail.
● Time management.
● Strong leadership skills, ability to lead a team as well as stakeholder management both internally & externally.
● Clear & conscious communication skills both verbally & written.
● Confident decision maker, someone who can make recommendations to senior leaders & stakeholders.
● Managed and executed multiple creative projects within deadlines and budget allocation.
● Excellent negotiation skills and industry connections.
