Probate Case Manager

 

Description:

This remote Probate Case Manager position offers the opportunity to manage an existing caseload and support new cases within a growing estate planning team. Responsibilities include managing client communication, ensuring legal standards are adhered to, handling probate documentation, and maintaining case management systems. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling probate matters autonomously, with the ability to oversee cases, manage billing, and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an existing caseload of probate cases and provide continuity for new cases.
  • Record time in accounting software and ensure accurate reporting of write-offs.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients (at least every 4 weeks) regarding case progress.
  • Upload and manage correspondence on case management systems.
  • Ensure all documents comply with legal standards and data protection laws.
  • Prepare and file IHT forms and manage billing for probate matters.
  • Monitor flags for WIP credit limits and report breaches to management.
  • Handle calls for the probate department and take appropriate actions.
  • Support clients through the probate process, managing files and dealing with post-completion matters.

Required Experience:

  • At least 2 years of probate experience.
  • Experience managing a caseload of 60+ cases.
