Principal Engineer

Description:

Working as a Principal Engineer, you'll lead front end engineering at AXA UK, developing the strategy and leading our front-end engineering community. You'll design and develop innovative front-end solutions to problems that delight our customers and deliver value to AXA.

What you'll be doing:

• Creating the front-end tech strategy roadmap for AXA UK, collaborating with engineering and architecture
• Setting the quality, design, coding, testing, performance and security engineering standards
• Solving complex business problems and ship features both large and small
• Working across teams to solve domain level problems
• Building a front-end engineering community at AXA to share ideas and improve knowledge and understanding of this domain
• Learning and coaching other engineers to improve their front-end craft
• Collaborating with UX, Design, Product and wider the business to understand how the business strategy can be achieved
• Participating in the on-call rotation for the platform, assisting with the resolution of production incidents
