About Us: This recently acquired practice is seeking an ambitious Accountant to lead the next phase of development of this well-established practice with ambitious plans to grow. Working within an entrepreneurial group, you will have the autonomy to lead all aspects of the business in the pursuit of technical development and financial growth. With strong financial backing, a strong and loyal client base and experienced staff, the prospects for growth are very strong.

Responsibilities:

• Company Leadership: Lead all aspects of this established and growing business.
• Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships by providing excellent service.
• Audit Expertise: The firm has won and retained clients with significant turnover (>£40M) for whom audits are conducted. In addition, a wide range of SME clients require general advice.
• People Management: Ensure sound management of the team of 8 long-standing staff ensuring delivery and development objectives are achieved.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

With a minimum of 10 years PQE, you will have developed a range of technical skills alongside client management and team leadership. Your experience will have been focussed largely on owner managed SME clients.

• ACA or ACCA fully qualified with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Commercial management experience to include business development, team leadership and service delivery management.
• Familiar with new and existing technology (IRIS and Sage in particular).
• Proficient in all aspects of accounting.
• Enthusiastic about developing new business.
