Description:
Queen Mary University of London invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Blizard Institute. This role is part of a 3-year BBSRC/UKRI-funded project focused on investigating gene expression control in mammalian genomes. The successful candidate will develop AI models to explore the role of epigenetic modifications at enhancers and collaborate closely with both computational and wet lab researchers.
Develop AI models (explainable and black box) to investigate epigenetic modifications at enhancers
Collaborate with researchers across both computational and wet lab teams
Integrate and analyze various omics datasets (e.g., chromatin organization, TF binding, transcriptomics)
Work on mouse and human enhancer annotation
Communicate research progress and results effectively within a collaborative team setting
PhD or equivalent in bioinformatics, computer science, or related fields
Experience with AI/Machine Learning models, particularly in epigenetics
Knowledge of analyzing and integrating multi-omics datasets
Previous experience in enhancer annotation (mouse and human) is desirable
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and manage projects
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
