Photographer

Description:

We're in search of someone with a strong background in e-commerce photography, particularly competent in product photography across a variety of product ranges. Given the diverse nature of our day-to-day shoots, we require someone who is confident and adaptable, capable of handling any challenges that may arise on set. Whether it's shooting for our regular clients with specifications you know like the back of your hand or encountering unexpected scenarios such as delicate items, products needing suspension, or completely unique requests, versatility is key in this role.

Our clients vary from established to emerging businesses, with both recurring regular jobs and one-time projects. Therefore, this role demands the flexibility to adapt to diverse style guides, specifications, and requests, along with clear communication with the team and customers. A willingness to collaborate closely with clients and take the lead during shoots is crucial, showcasing enthusiasm and professionalism in every interaction.

Be it shooting on mannequins, jewellery, flat-lays or creative projects, the ideal candidate should be self-motivated, organised and happy work to deadlines. They should also be flexible in adapting their daily tasks to accommodate the needs of the studio and more importantly than anything, keen to get stuck in for a tea round or 2 in the day - everyone chips in!

Ideally, we're seeking someone familiar with the local area, bringing both enthusiasm and organisational skills to the table. Given our small team dynamic, a strong team-player mentality is essential - we have a fun studio and hope to keep it that way!

Must haves-

  • 2 years experience in product photography or similar role
  • A strong workflow and organisation while shooting
  • Technical understanding of processes and kit - including ability to trouble shoot to a reasonable standard (don’t worry we all have things we can’t easily fix, but the ability to sort out the inevitable day to day issues when working with kit!)
  • Experience working with Canon and Profoto are a perk, but not a must - ability to adapt to new equipment if not!
  • Good communication and ability to maintain professional approach - especially with outside parties - while also fitting into our relaxed working environment
  • A willingness to learn and to take guidance from other team members, as well as being able to work independently
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for the work
  • A pro-active approach and initiative
