About the Role:
Medivet Crosby is looking for a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Veterinary Nurse to join its team and provide top-quality care to its animal patients. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will be integral in assisting veterinary surgeons during procedures, delivering high standards of patient care, and ensuring clients have a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: You will consistently deliver exceptional care, assisting in surgeries and procedures, handling pre- and post-operative activities, and managing patient monitoring and care.
- Consultations and Appointments: Perform nurse-led appointments and manage schedule 3 activities. You will also conduct patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to out-of-hours care facilities.
- Medication Management: Dispense and check medications for patients and provide proper instructions for their use.
- Team Leadership and Coordination: Engage and coordinate with the team, providing leadership and support for the efficient running of the practice.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all procedures are in line with practice and operational standards, maintaining high levels of professionalism and regulatory compliance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse: Must hold a valid RCVS registration.
- Experience: Proven experience delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Consulting Skills: Experienced in supporting nurse consultations, with an understanding of how these contribute to practice performance and efficiency.
- Coaching Skills: Ability to use coaching and influencing skills to maximize the potential of every team member.
