Description:
Independent Clinical Network (Psicon) is seeking dedicated Paediatricians to join our onsite team in Gloucestershire. We are looking for professionals who share our values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness to conduct Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments for children and adolescents aged 5-18 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive developmental histories using preferred assessment tools.
- Observe children during assessments and interact in an age-appropriate, compassionate manner.
- Review ADOS reports, developmental histories, and relevant collateral information from home and school in the same session.
- Formulate diagnoses, provide assessment conclusions, and deliver feedback to families with kindness and clarity, including recommendations and signposting to resources.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) for cases requiring additional information and conduct follow-up sessions where needed.
- Produce detailed, high-quality diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, following DSM-5 criteria. (Administrative support provided for formatting and quality control.)
- Request onward referrals when clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
Work Structure & Benefits:
- Up to four assessments per day, scheduled between 9 AM – 5 PM.

- Self-employed contract (outside IR35) with a competitive per assessment rate.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
- GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
- CCT in Paediatrics preferred but not essential.
- Strong expertise in ASD assessments for children and young people.
- Ability to travel to the clinic for face-to-face assessments.
- Up-to-date revalidation and appraisal.
