Description:
This role will involve working closely with the Head of Special Processing to build and create a high performing team of specialists dedicated to delivering the highest possible standards of delivery to our corporate clients and their employees. Additionally, the role requires proactive identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance internal relationships and expand the range of work completed by the team.
Key Accountabilities
- Along with the wider operational management team, work to influence the strategy and direction of the operational function to ensure we maximise efficiency while delivering the highest standards of delivery to our customers.
- With the Plan Communications Specialists, provide expert advice and knowledge to the wider business and client base with respect to all Comms related activities, including regularly liaising with and presenting to clients.
- Responsible for resource planning, scheduling and allocation of tasks and timely completion of all processes assigned to the team.
- In conjunction with the Head of Special Processing, create a high performing team of professionals dedicated to the delivery of all communications related activity.
- Day to day people management of the team to ensure the maintenance of a high performing team, including management of recruitment, absence, performance, and training.
- Ensure adherence across the function with Computershare’s ongoing regulatory responsibilities on data protection.
- Ensure you and the team follow the project governance process.
- QA (Quality Assurance) process followed in all cases.
- RAG status completion in all cases each week.
- Stakeholder management, progress communicated, initiation and fact-finding sessions.
- Follow all internal processes, policies, and controls.
- Regulatory learning complete by target date.
- Pass all training – Compliance, Risk, Operational control.
- No breaches in any quarter due to negligence.
- Awareness of personal and business regulation responsibilities.
- Any breach or incident reported, assessed and plan in place to avoid future occurrences.
What will you bring to the role?
- Evidence of working on or closely with a project designed to radically overhaul processes and operational delivery is an advantage.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the financial services industry, with two years’ experience working in a share plans or financial compensation environment preferable.
- Significant proven experience of managing large operational teams, preferably in a complex regulatory environment.
- Strong personal and operational organisational skills, able to manage multiple complex activities running in parallel.
- Passionate about customer delivery with evidence of championing and maintaining strong delivery to a large client and customer base.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey and articulate ideas to a wide variety of audiences.
