Description:
Lead and manage the operational teams on multiple projects to deliver the team’s business plan; drive the development of new and repeat business and support the achievement of the ISG vision, strategy, values, strategic measures and annual budgets.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and support the teams, ensuring that they are adequately resourced, motivated and managed to achieve ISG targets and maintain high levels of commitment & morale.
- Ensure projects are delivered successfully to achieve the team’s business plan
- Provide key client, consultant and supply chain relationship management and continuously improve customer experience.
- Support the development of the ISG culture through effective team and company communication and role modelling of the ISG vision, values and behaviours. Drive excellent communication within teams and with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure project delivery risks, issues and opportunities are identified, documented, escalated and managed to improve HS&E performance, customer experience & profitability and to protect the company’s position.
- Champion continuous team development through performance reviews, training, coaching and succession planning.
- Ensure full compliance with all Company HSQE standards, policies, processes, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements.
- Undertake regular site visits and chair monthly project reviews to review project and team performance and ensure that project teams receive adequate challenge, support and guidance.
- Support business development, pre-qualification and tender activity and undertake bid management duties
- Ensure cash is maximised on projects, without compromising our contractual arrangements or relationships with customers or supply chain, including through the prompt clearance of defects, agreement of final accounts and receipt of retention payments.
- Promote and support the use of company preferred subcontractors & suppliers to improve HS&E and project delivery standards and to achieve cost savings & rebate recovery.
- Actively manage internal and external resources and supply chain to ensure projects and support functions are fully and efficiently utilised throughout the tender, construction and post-completion phases.
Skills & Experience
- Construction background with a 1st tier contractor
- Proven account management experience
- Demonstrable client relationship and team leadership skills
