Description:
We have an exciting Permanent Operational Controller / Works Scheduler opportunity at Staffordshire County Council in Stafford. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for planning and managing daily work for multiple gangs, ensuring all activities align with Highways Industry Standards and embody Amey’s core values, all while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily gang activities to ensure compliance with timescales, SLAs, and contracts.
- Coordinate with on-site supervisors and review suspended/rejected jobs in the Works Management system.
- Perform Level 1 reviews for quality and accuracy of completed jobs and produce daily/weekly activity reports.
- Schedule emergency works and less than 24-hour jobs for the current day; update supervisors on performance.
- Review programme quality with pre-works coordinator and inform clients about planned work activities.
- Liaise with emergency services as needed and ensure daily performance targets are met through effective communication with all relevant parties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in planning and coordination roles.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with different teams and clients.
- Proficiency in MS Packages.
