Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Onshore Energy Analytics Team to lead the delivery of meteorological measurement campaigns and wind turbine power performance assessments. This will be a key role in supporting SSE Renewables' extensive pipeline of wind farm projects in their development, construction, and operational phases.
Some Of Your Main Accountabilities Will Include
- Project managing wind measurement campaigns from concept to delivery.
- Writing, reviewing and updating Risk Assessments and Method Statements in advance of site work.
- Managing contractors to ensure site work is undertaken to our required quality and safety standards.
- Responsibility for the deployment of Lidar devices and associated Power Supply Units, internally or by contractors, including setup and commissioning.
- Manage data collection for energy yield modelling, site conditions assessments, project design, and operational analysis.
- Collaborating on work across multiple projects, liaising with key stakeholders, contractors, and the wider Energy Analytics team.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A recognised qualification in a STEM subject or can demonstrate industry experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of wind measurement methods in the wind industry, such as meteorological masts and Lidar deployment.
- Experience of managing wind measurement campaigns and physical deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting of wind measurement equipment.
- A strong track record working with contractors to ensure high HSE standards.
- A background encompassing data reporting, wind resource assessment and solar energy measurement methods would be an advantage.
