Oil Origination Analyst

Description:

Looking for an Oil Origination Specialist to join the Business Development team of a leading Energy firm, reporting to the Head of Business Development Crude.

As an Oil Origination Specialist, you will be instrumental in identifying and executing opportunities for crude oil and oil products origination. Your role will focus on enhancing trading and commercial activities through strategic agreements and partnerships. You will collaborate with the Business Development team to evaluate market opportunities, conduct financial analysis, and support integrated initiatives across various divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and assess opportunities for crude oil and oil products origination aligned with the company's trading strategy.

Support the Business Development team by analyzing market trends and potential commercial opportunities.

Prepare detailed economic models to evaluate the value of transactions and strategic agreements.

Assist in securing necessary internal approvals for business development projects.

Integrated Initiatives and Collaboration:

Participate in cross-functional teams to explore new market opportunities and evaluate potential investments.

Develop economic models to support decision-making related to the flow of crude oil and oil products.

Provide commercial support to various internal divisions, ensuring alignment with operational and compliance standards.

Manage activities related to compliance, risk management, and due diligence processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Experience in crude oil and oil products trading, business development, or related areas.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to model economic value and assess commercial opportunities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team based environment.
