What does the role involve?
Although no two days are the same, a Better Rehab Occupational Therapist will…
- Visit people in the community who rely on you to improve their lives. You will assess their needs, design appropriate therapy plans, and advocate on their behalf. You may work with patients with a range of conditions, including neurological conditions, ASD and many more.
- Provide support with home modifications (complex and simple), equipment prescription (including mobility aids, positioning supports, bathroom aids and seating) and assistive technology (including self-care, low tech and learning aids).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Speech & Language Therapists and Behaviour Support Practitioners to share knowledge and ideas.
- Celebrate “Weekly Wins” with your patients, their families, your colleagues, and your supportive Leadership Team.
- Attend formal and informal opportunities for networking and learning and development.
What do you need to be eligible?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
- A minimum two years’ clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- A valid drivers’ license.
- Ambition and ability to work in a community setting.
