National Account Manager

 

Description:

As a National Account Manager you’ll focus exclusively on the London Essence portfolio, working within a dedicated team who will drive the development of this category as a key growth area for the business. Our target customer will be national groups across managed licensed operators, dining operators, hotels and foodservice & catering operators.

 

Your main focus will be identifying and winning new contracted business for London Essence. There will be 2 distinct areas of opportunity a) working in collaboration with the Britvic commercial teams unlocking new distribution in our existing customer base and b) securing new contracts with customers!

 

You will become the go to brand expert, own the pitch, the brand commercial proposals and support with serve and menu recommendations. You will also facilitate joint marketing plans in partnership with the LEC marketing team and the customer.

 

Selling and executing our innovation pipeline will be a strategic priority using your target customer base to create showcase testimonials and execution to help drive brand awareness.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To become the face of London Essence capable of communicating to a broad range of stakeholders (including wholesale partners and spirit brand partners)
  • To lead commercial negotiations and pricing, across a breadth of new customers.
  • To be fully accountable for P&L within your area of responsibility, building and agreeing an investment plan for your region to drive the AOP objectives
  • To ensure that appropriate time is spent  to a) build customer and sector knowledge, understanding & insight and b) evaluate execution, compliance & competitor activity.
  • To pro-actively track performance of your accounts, implementing course correct tactics as necessary & driving a dynamic, cross functional, collaborative way of working in order to maximise the performance of your business area.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

 

  • Account management or business development experience within the premium FMCG sector, an on-trade or OOH channel is preferred
  • The right attitude is essential. You need to be tenacious, determined to succeed, fun, creative and approach life with a ‘can do’ attitude to be successful and fit into our team culture.
  • To be a compelling communicator with the ability to lead from the front and influence a broad range of stakeholders and customers.
  • The ability to build rapport and excitement whilst demonstrating excellence across business development and account management.
  • London Essence is a small, hands on team, so it’s important that you can operate as a strong team player, align with our shared purpose and be prepared to role your selves up and get stuck in.
