National Account Manager

 

Description:

Join one of the UK’s leading fresh produce companies as a National Account Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to manage key strategic accounts, including Aldi, and contribute directly to the company's growth strategy. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will have autonomy in decision-making while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of service and product quality for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Aldi account, maintaining and developing this crucial relationship.
  • Work with the commercial, development, and procurement teams to drive service and product excellence.
  • Influence business decisions and contribute to overall strategy.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, especially within the retail channel.
  • Negotiate and manage private-label food product deals.
  • Provide ongoing support and strategic advice to the customer.
  • Contribute to business growth through leadership and results-driven actions.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the retail channel, ideally as a National Account Executive or Junior NAM.
  • Experience in private-label food products and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting customer relationships.
  • Passion for fresh produce and a commitment to growth within a commercial environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to long-term business success.

Benefits:

  • Salary range: £45,000 to £55,000.
  • Hybrid working (3/4 days at head office, Worcestershire and 1/2 days from home).
