Description:
Aviva Investors is seeking a Model Validation Analyst to join their London-based team. This role is ideal for someone with strong quantitative and modeling skills, preferably with experience in asset management and financial markets.
The selected candidate will provide independent review and challenge of business-critical models including valuation models, portfolio risk models, and other key methodologies used across the organization. You will play an instrumental role in strengthening the model validation governance framework, aligning with Group and AI Model Management business standards.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across various departments, maintaining and managing a structured book of work while preparing and presenting model review documentation and independent opinions.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently validate and assess cross-business models and methodologies.
Develop and implement model review procedures and control standards.
Collaborate across departments to manage expectations and deliverables.
Document and present model opinions and findings.
Contribute to ongoing improvements in governance and framework structure.
Build relationships as a subject matter expert across the business.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in risk and pricing models/methodologies.
Proven ability to challenge model owners constructively and clearly.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Understanding of asset management industry and risk practices.
Technical proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, VBA, statistical/data packages, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Experience with risk systems like Aladdin and Risk Manager is highly desirable.
