An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified medical practitioner to join Hywel Dda University Health Board’s progressive team of medical educators in Prince Philip Hospital, in the role of Medical Education Teaching Registrar.

This full time role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term basis and the working timetable will be split as follows:-
 

• 60% medical education activities (including time for self-development)
• 40% clinical activity, supporting the care of the elderly team
   

Expectations of the role will include supporting the clinical team as well as providing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across medical specialties.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the role will include:-
 

• Delivering ward and classroom based teaching for Medical and Physician Associate Students in accordance with relevant curricula and learning needs
• Delivering ward and classroom based teaching and undertaking workplace based assessments for Junior Doctors
• Active involvement in quality improvement activities
• Support the running of a PACES course and PACES exams
